Motors in most bigger axial flow fans can be mounted in one of three ways:
Here the motor stands on its own feet. This type of motor is also know as a B3 or foot-mounted motor.
This type of motor, known as B30, is mounted by pickup points on its outer shell via rods to the fan's casing. B30 Motors are commonly found in bigger fans, where efficiency plays a bigger role.
The B5 type of motor gets mounted at its a flange, located at its front end
